ST-RG1 Ramp Generator The ramp generator shall be an RDL ST-RG1. The unit shall generate a dc ramp voltage between 0 and 10 Vdc with sufficient current to simultaneously drive up to six RDL VCA “ramp” inputs. The unit shall provide two external control inputs to ramp the output up or down and connections for two external LED indicators. Each control input shall provide a positive 15 Vdc voltage reference to be switched through an external contact closure to activate the input. Each LED indicator output shall vary the current proportional to the high or low range of the output ramp voltage. Each control input, up and down, shall activate upon connection of 15 Vdc to the input terminal. Control inputs shall ignore routine switch contact bounce. Each momentary input pulse shall increment the dc output ramp voltage by 200 mV nominal. Sustained input activation shall produce a continuous change in the output ramp voltage. The minimum ramp voltage shall be 0 V nominal; the maximum ramp voltage shall be 10 Vdc nominal. The duration of a continuous full ramp shall be 5 seconds nominal. The control inputs shall accept closures from multiple external locations and shall be directly compatible with RDL RLC2 remote controls. The unit shall provide terminals for remote LED attenuation level indicators that vary in intensity as a visual indication of the relative output ramp voltage. The visual intensity of such indicators shall be adjusted by varying the drive current between 0 and 3 mA. The unit shall be constructed in an electrically non-conductive, thermally conductive enclosure. Internal circuitry shall be protected from moisture and vibration using a thermally conductive compound that permanently secures the circuitry within the enclosure. The face of the unit shall provide graphical labels identifying wiring connections. Connection to external wiring shall be provided using a fixed terminal block on the edge of the unit. The terminal block shall accept wiring gauges from 14 to 22 and shall include a positive electrically conductive mechanism to prevent wire abrasion by the terminal screws. The unit shall measure 3” (7.6 cm) x 1.6” (4 cm) x 0.7” (1.7 cm) and be compatible with all RDL STICK-ON mounting accessories. The unit shall be supplied with a two part re-closable polypropylene fastener system equipped with a rubber adhesive that bonds to low surface energy materials. Power requirements shall be 24 Vdc ground-referenced with a maximum current not exceeding 40 mA. The unit shall utilize an external power supply. The unit shall be engineered, assembled and tested in the U.S.A. and be specified for continuous duty in professional installed systems. The unit shall be specified for operation in an ambient temperature between 0 and 55 degrees C. The unit shall comply with relevant EMC requirements and shall bear the CE marking. The unit shall be an RDL ST-RG1.
