SF-DN4 The interface unit shall convert two stereo digital audio sources to four Dante network signals. Two separate sets of digital audio input connectors shall be provided. Each set shall include an AES/EBU input on an XLR and two S/PDIF inputs, one coaxial on an RCA jack and one optical. Each XLR input shall be transformer isolated. The coaxial input shall have a continuous direct coaxial shield connection to the chassis. A LOCK LED must be provided for each set of inputs to provide a visual indication that a valid digital audio input is received. The unit shall automatically select the input connected to any of the three input types in each input set and shall keep that input selected until the absence of a valid digital audio source. Input sample rates from 44.1 kHz through 192 kHz must be supported. An integral sample rate converter shall convert the received sample rate to the selected Dante output sample rate. The unit shall support output sample rates of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz. Digital audio sources shall remain in the digital domain from the inputs to the network output. The unit shall be constructed in a steel enclosure equipped for mounting to any flat surface and compatible with RDL SysFlex mounting accessories. The unit shall operate from IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE power provided through the Ethernet cable. The unit shall be covered by a 3 year factory warranty. The Dante interface shall be an RDL SF-DN4.
